About This Piece

“Cultural Tapestry” is a suspended structure within the atrium space of the District One Police Station. The effect of the work is a luminous three-dimensional tapestry filled with community based imagery, representing the historical and cultural diversity of the district the police station serves. Graphics and figures integrated into the suspended matrix were inspired by Native American and Peruvian textiles.
