About This Piece

Artist Christopher Weed’s “Stimuli” consists of 16 larger than life, 18 inch diameter, brightly colored spheres that resemble gumballs in color and shape. They flow in all directions throughout the school’s concrete plaza leading up to the west entrance. The spheres are constructed of powder-coated steel and are tactile and smooth to the touch. These playful pieces are engaging to both children and adults. The artworks stand out from their surroundings while complementing the adjacent architecture.
