From the artist’s proposal,”Red Rocks Overlook” attempts to capture Red Rocks: a place that is small in size, yet grand in scale. The park holds a marvelous integration of the human made structures into the natural land forms. And the relation of the park itself to the larger landscape is equally magnificent; with complex vistas from the park down along, and over the Morrison hogback.
